Sampler worked by Mary Blake in 1798. She was born April 4, 1784 in Warwick, MA and married Richard Clap of Dorchester in 1807. The lived in a house that was located where the Russell School is now on Columbia Road across from Richardson Park.

So happ to have found this site. My husband is a descendent of Israel through his son Thomas, I noticed your last name, Taylor, and was wondering if you are a descendent of William Tailor, who married Rebecca Stoughton.
I am working on an historical novel and am trying to map out the Dorchester area at Israel and William’s time. I haven’t found a map yet.

My one great disappointment is that I cannot find a Dorchester ancestor, so no I am not a descendant of William Tailor.
